Donald graduated from Haverhill Trade School in 1956. He played football at Haverhill High School. Donald played in the last championship game there in 1955. He was the widower of Sandra McCarty. Donald had five children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. For many years he worked at Western Electric and the Lucent Technologies as an assembler. Donald was seventy-nine at the time of his death.
