Jane died after a long illness at Hannah Duston Health Care at the ripe age of ninety-eight. She was the widow of Carl Mills, Sr. They had six children, Jane lived in the Bradford section of Haverhill for most of her life. Along with a classmate and a good friend they owned and operated a successful thrift shop.
