About	Tom attended Holy Cross college on a full athletic scholarship, having graduated in 1965. In high school and college he was a celebrated football player, having been a linebacker. Tom worked for many years as a salesman for the Haverhill Gazette in advertising.. At the time of his death he'd been married for forty-one years. He had two daughters and one grandson. Tom lived in Haverhill for most of his life. He died after a long illness..
