She was a 1959 graduate of Nashua Memorial Hospital School of Nursing where she trained to become an RN. Jackie worked at the now defunct Hale Hospital. She also worked on the Pediatric unit at Boston City Hospital. Jackie worked at local nursing homes in her latter years. She had two sons. Jackie's health had been failing in the years before her death. She died of chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
