Rodney Ford
Class of 1967
Rodney was the argueably pound for pound, the best player in Hammond High History. He was a starter on the Indiana All Star Team in 1967, is a member of the Hammond Hall of Fame and a member of the 1992 Silver Anniversary All-Star Basketball Team. He lead the region and conference in scoring his junior year. He also won two sectional championships in basketball and was a member of the first Hammond sectional championship team in baseball.
He scored over 1500 points in three years of varsity competition while playing for Indiana Hall of Fame coach Gunner Wyman.
He also lead the region in home runs in baseball.
As a player, he did everything but sell popcorn to the fans at half-time.
