| Favorite School Memory | Getting to know fellow Gwinn classmates in class (favorite teacher was Ann Charter) and also outside of class - including getting together for a bonfire at "the Plains" and working with my teammates at Gwinn sports events. |
| About Me | After finishing my BSW at NMU, I worked at the Marquette Women's Center and found that I could make a positive difference in helping people. In the late 1980s, I moved to the Washington DC area and received my master's degree and provided mental health treatment for sexually abused kids and their families. From there, I realized that research holds the key to understanding the question 'why' - so I decided to pursue my PhD. I now work at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD and serve as a Special Assistant to the Deputy Director at the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
