Tony was born Aug. 2, 1961, in Greensburg, the son of Edward and Londalea Osborn O'Mara. He was married to Karen S. Martin Dec 6, 1980. He had worked at the Crown Industrial plant, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Also surviving, in addition to his parents and widow, are a daughter, Monique, who is one and a half years old; brothers: Michael O'Mara, St. Meinrad, Gregory O'Mara, Columbus, and Thomas O'Mara, Greensburg; sisters: Mrs. Mark (Kimberly) Hahn, Greensburg, and Julie O'Mara, at home; 3 nephews; his father-and mother-in-law, Mr and Mrs. Harry Martin, Greensburg; and his grandparents: Mrs. Catherine O'Mara Greensburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Osborn, Palm Bay, FL. Viewing was held at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with a rosary service. Services were conducted at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Barbara Sue Voiles Vanderpohl, age 57, of Versailles, Indiana entered this life on January 24, 1961 in Greensburg, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Don Norman and Norma Joan Collicott Voiles. She was raised in Greensburg and was a 1979 graduate of Greensburg Community High School. Barbara was united in marriage to Joe I. Vanderpohl and this union was blessed with sons, Joey and Drew. She had resided in Versailles the past 12 years and served as the receptionist and faithfully served where ever needed at the CI Worship Center in Versailles, Indiana. She was a devoted mom, loving grammy and sister. Barbara fought a gallant fight against cancer for the past three months. Barbara died on Monday, May 28, 2018, at 3:50 p.m. at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood, Indiana.

Barbara will be missed by her loving sons, Joey Vanderpohl and his wife, Jennah of Madison, Indiana, Drew Donovan Vanderpohl of Versailles, Indiana; her grandson, Joey Reed Vanderpohl; her sisters, Terri Jones and her husband, Brad of Greensburg, Indiana, Kelly Amburgey and her husband, Roger of Westport, Indiana; her nieces and her nephews, Bradley Jones, Ashley Bauman, Kayla Cathey, and Nicholas Bagwell; 7-great nieces, 2-great nephews and 6-cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Don Norman Voiles and her mother, Norma Joan Collicott Voiles.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONY
Celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., by Pastor George Mitchell at the CI Family Worship Center, 2377 E. Co. Road 250 South near Versailles, Indiana. Interment will be at a later date in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.

Brenda K. Yarbor, 57 of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Schneck Medical Center Hospice in Seymour. Brenda was born on May 11, 1961, in Greensburg, the daughter of Denver and Marjorie (Caster) Washburn. She was a 1979 graduate of Greensburg High School. On December 29, 1982, she married Wesley Yarbor in Seymour and he survives. Other survivors include their children - Cole Yarbor of Columbus, Jesse Yarbor of Westport and Jamie Yarbor of Westport; Brothers - Omer Washburn, Floyd Washburn and John Washburn; and Sisters - Rose Arena, Alberta Robbins, Marylin Moore and Karen Washburn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sisters - Willetta Tichenor, Jennie Bertrand and Ellen (Snooky) Schoettmer; and Brother - David Washburn. Brenda worked at Houck Industries in Greensburg and in housekeeping at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital for many years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, traveling and boating. Private services will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Dianne Lynn Shaw, 53, of Andrews, IN, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 5:40 a.m. at her residence.

Mrs. Shaw was born August 30, 1961, in Greensburg, IN, to Robert and Marline F. (Ricke) Wolter. Dianne married Francis Shaw, III, on August 17, 1985. He survives and resides in Andrews, IN.

Dianne graduated from Indiana University as an optometric technician and also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Mrs. Shaw was the Secretary/Treasurer for Convenience Corner in Huntington, IN, for 26 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN, and the Rosary Sodality. She was a member of the ABWA and active with Girl Scouts. She also served as a board member of the Community Link Credit Union.

Along with her mother and husband she is survived by two daughters, Chanda Lynn (Blake) Stoffel, Huntington, IN, Cally Michelle Shaw, Andrews, IN; one step-son, Chad William Shaw, Huntington, IN; and one step-daughter, Carrie Ann (Eric) Stetcher, Huntington, IN. She is also survived by two brothers, Dale Wolter, Dallas, TX, Brian Wolter, Greensburg, IN; 2 grandchildren, Shaela Michelle and Malena Lynn Stoffel and 7 step grandchildren, Xavier, Zach, Blaze and Gage Shaw and Alexia, Chloe, and Eliana Stetcher.

Calling hours will be Monday, September 29, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, with Father John Pfister officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

Edward J. Roberts, 55 formerly of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his residence in Osgood. Ed was born on March 5, 1961 in Lawrenceburg the son of Paul and Marcella Roberts. He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1979 and later attended Butler University Graduating with his Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts.
Ed was an amazing cook and talented musician; he especially enjoyed playing the piano and wood wind instruments. He worked for many years in banking, starting as a teller and eventually becoming Branch Manager of Mainsource Bank in Anderson.
Survivors include his mother – Marcella Roberts of Greensburg, his significant other of 32 years – Marcus Muncy of Osgood, his four sisters – Paula (Tom) O'Mara of Greensburg, Pamela Fasnacht of Greensburg, Penny Creech of Greensburg and Anita Elrod of Hope, one brother Paul (Cindy) Roberts of Greenfield and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Robert Roberts.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 4PM – 7PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11AM on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Springhill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to his family. Fredrick Josef Baltus, 56, of Greensburg, passed away on December 11, 2017. He was born on March 9, 1961 in Greensburg, the son of Joseph and Janet Goodpaster Baltus. Fredrick was a 1979 graduate of Greensburg Community High School. He was a truck driver for Lowes Pellets and Grain. Fredrick was a member of the 1st Baptist Church. He enjoyed working and tinkering on cars and loved fixing things.
Survivors include: Daughter- Carrie Baltus; Mother- Janet Lou Baltus; Grandchildren- Halen Baltus, Hannah Baltus, Malachi Baltus, and Machi Baltus; Brother- James H. (Connie) Baltus; and Sister- Pamela Loyd; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 4:00 pm. Rev. Connie K. Barr will be officiating. Burial will be held at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the donor's choice.

Gary Keith Fields, 53, of Seymour, Indiana passed away on September 21, 2014 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon, Indiana.

Gary was born on May 19, 1961 the son of Margaret Eileen Troxel Cantrell and the late Donald Andrew Fields.

Gary worked for N.T.N. Driveshaft in Walesboro, Indiana for a year and A1 Pallet in Clarksville, Indiana for 2 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He attended Greensburg Community Schools.

Gary is survived by his mother, Margaret Cantrell of Indianapolis, Indiana; a brother, Michael Fields of Newbern, Indiana and a sister, Marcia (Norman) Trepanier of Greensburg, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Fields.

In keeping with his wishes no services are planned. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, Indiana.

Memorials may be through the funeral home to American Cancer Society.

He was a 1979 graduate of Greensburg High School and worked on the family farm in Shelby County, owned by his father. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Tuesday Night Fraternal Bowling League. He is survived by his parents, Greensburg, his grandparents: Joseph Strasburger, Greensburg; and Martha Lux, Shelbyville; brother, Gary Lux, Connersville; sisters: Suzie & Saundra Lux, at home; and 7 aunts and uncles: Mrs. Roy (Joleen) Connor, Greensburg, Patricia Strasburger, Carmel, Mrs. Joe Quigley, Houston, TX., Mrs. William Hart, Shelbyville,Dr. David Lux, Shelbyville, Mrs. Jim Wagers, Richmond, and Mrs. Tim Stone, Arizona. JACKIE ROSE DAVIDSON, 26

Jackie Rose Davidson, 26, died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, April 13, 1986, at her residence, 324 Jackson St., a victim of cystic fibrosis.

Davidson was born Jan. 31, 1960, in Greensburg, the daughter of George and Sherry Gannon Davidson. She attended the St. Omer Community Church and graduated from Greensburg Community High School in 1978.

She is survived by her parents, George Davidson, Vevay, and Sherry Davidson, Greensburg; her maternal grandfather, Albert "Jack" Gannon St. Omer; maternal great-grandmother, Alma Suttles, Greensburg; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Davidson, Crothersville; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mickie Renae Davidson, Jan. 9, 1984; and a brother, George Monroe "Buddy" Davidson.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, with Glen Hensley officiating. Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Today.

James Michael "Mike" Back, 54, died Tuesday June 24, 2014 in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

Survivors include, his wife, Nina (Perry) Back of Indianapolis, three children, Caleb M., Sarah E. and Shannon T. Back all of Indianapolis, two sisters, Lana K.(Marty) Harmeyer of Batesville and Traci L. Back of Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Florine (Smith) Back and a sister, Barbara Stirn.

Mike loved being with his family, he also enjoyed being outdoors, photography, gardening, fishing and hunting, building wooden shelves, making loft beds.

He was a member of Greenwood Bible Baptist Church where he enjoyed working around the church and serving the Lord in any capacity he could.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 27, 2014 at Greenwood Bible Baptist Church, 1461 Sheek Rd, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Burial will be at Rossburg Cemetery in New Point, Indiana.

Jeffrey D. Denton, 45 of Greensburg, Indiana passed away on May 14, 2008 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.


He was born on February 15, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of David Denton and Sonja (McNew) Ely.

He attended the First Christian Church in Greensburg. He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1981 and then graduated from Purdue University in 1985 where he majored in agriculture economics. He worked for many years in landscape management. He most recently worked in banking and finance.

He was married to Joyce G. Fogg on July 27, 1985 and she survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Christopher, 17, Scott, 14; one daughter, Abigail, 10; parents and step-parents, David (Jody) Denton of Indianapolis, Sonja (Jim) Ely of Florida; grandmother, Irma McNew of Arizona; one sister, Kimberley (Cecil) Sammons of Florida; four step-brothers, Jeff (Linda) Hedges of Indianapolis, Steve (Cathy) Hedges of Plainfield, Jeff Ely of Texas, Kenny (Kristen) Ely of New Palestine; two step-sisters, Becky (Brian) Harlan of Greencastle, Karen (Mark) Hamrick of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 - 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 18 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 19 at the funeral home with Rev. Danny Wolford officiating.

Memorials may be made to a trust fund for the children through the funeral home in lieu of flowers.

Joseph Montgomery Shields, 22, Greensburg, died Friday, April 6, 2007. He was born on March 20, 1985 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Joey loved life, he loved his Hoosiers, his Colts, and his Tarheels, and more than anything else, he loved his friends and family and was always, always there when they needed him. His smile and laugh and sparkling eyes will be missed the most. He is the son of Monty and Kathy (Burkhart) Shields and brother of Joshua and Jacob of Greensburg. Joey is survived by his parents, brothers, grandparents; O.H. Montgomery and Marianne C. Shields of Seymour and Carl Joe and Elizabeth Burkhart of Greensburg. He is survived as well by his loving aunts; Deanna (John) Fox of Greensburg, Patricia (James) Spaulding of Westfield, Regina Treash of Greensburg, Katie (Mike) Hall of Seymour, and his uncles; Mike (Susie) Burkhart of Batesville, and John (Melissa) Shields of Seymour. Joey is also survived by many cousins, great aunts and uncles as well as many friends as there are stars in heaven. Joey was a graduate of St. Mary’s and a 2003 graduate of GCHS. Joey was a member of the GCHS golf team and led the 2003 Big Blue Tailgating Crew. He attended Indiana State University. He worked at Valeo since August of last year and before that he was a cook at A&W for six years.

Born, January 14, 1961 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of Lembit and Aetna (Youngblood) Tamme. He was a self employed contractor. He graduated in 1979 from Greensburg High School. He is survived by his father, Lembit Tamme, Greensburg; one sister, Melissa (Andy) Geis, Greensburg; one nephew, Jordan Ramer, Greensburg; two nieces, Audrey and Allison Geis, Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his mother. Private services were held for the family at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Interment will be held at a later date in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials may be made to the Decatur County Hospice or to the Decatur County Hospital Foundation

Joseph W. Herbert, 48, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg. Born February 24, 1961 in Greensburg, he was the son of Merle G. and Ruby (Carter) Herbert. Joseph was a member of the Tree City Classics Car Club and attended numerous car shows with his 1973 Camaro. He is survived by his mother, Ruby Herbert, Greensburg; one son; Kelsey Herbert, one brother, Jerry Herbert, Greensburg; one sister, Linda (Richard) Gibson, Greensburg; four nieces and nephews, Stephanie Redmon, Chris (Kristi) Herbert, Greenfield, Erik Wilmer, Hebron, Ky., Heather Kunze, Greensburg; six great nieces and nephews, Hailey, Bryce, Levi, Blake, Olivia, Bryce. He was preceded in death by his father. There will be no public visitation or funeral.

Keith Michael Meyer, 27, of Greensburg, passed away June 7, 2013. He was born July 11, 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was a lifelong resident of Greensburg. Keith was the son of Suzann (Six) Meyer, and Greg Meyer. He was a 2004 graduate of Greensburg High School, and owner of K.G.M. Motors.

Keith had a love of the outdoors and had an innate ability for anything mechanical. Keith was a happy, loveable, fun spirited young man and loved spending time with his two daughters, family and friends. He had a huge heart, lived life to the fullest and was a wonderful father and companion.

He leaves to cherish his memory his Mother, Suzann Meyer; Father, Greg (Jan) Meyer; Fiancé, Kelsey Menefee (daughter of Dennis and Diana Menefee); Daughters, Gracie and Madilyn Meyer; Brother, Brian (Lynn) Meyer; Sister, Sara (Adam) Middendorf; Nieces Kayla Meyer, Brinlly Middendorf and Mackenzie Kovacich; Grandparents, Don and Kay Meyer, and Ann Shazer. He was preceded in death by Grandfather Tom Shazer and cousin Mark Lee.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. A Celebration of Life mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 1:00pm. Father John Meyer will be officiating. Burial will follow. Kenneth J. Feldman, 41, Greensburg, died Monday, July 8, 2002, at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born, January 2, 1961 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Urban Lawrence & Arlene C. (Lecher) Feldman.

He was employed at Maddux Moving & Storage Co. in Greensburg. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and he was a graduate of the Greensburg High School Class of 1979.
He is survived by his Mother, Arlene C. Feldman, Greensburg; one son, William (Willie) Feldman, Greensburg; one brother, Edward Feldman, Greensburg; one sister, Barbara Anderson, Greensburg.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2002 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with the Rev. Steve Schaftlein officiating.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Internment will be at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greensburg.
Donations may be made to his son, Willie or to the Spinal Cord Injury Foundation
