We're in the middle of a really fun and unique Reunion year! For the time being the local committee has determined that trying to plan an "in person" weekend is ill advised. BUT we are meeting virtually! So far we've had 2 get togethers (Feb 12 and Mar 12) and the next one is already scheduled for April 9 at 6 PM CDT via Zoom. Decade Of The 60's Picnic

I’m canceling the Decade of the 60’s Picnic. Travel costs at this time are just too high when making the 2400-mile trip. I looked for others to take it over but had no one interested in doing so.
I feel the picnic needs to grow as we have just 3 classes that routinely attend. I think I’m holding this back as I’m not part of daily GI life.
In these times we need things that bring us together and the picnic is perfect for doing just that. I started this and now I’m fishing for someone to make it better

Second Annual Class Picnic

We are inviting all people who attending GISH in the 60's to our picnic. We have reserved the three shelters in the park so if the numbers get large we can break things down into groups. As last year we supply the time and date and you supply your food and drink. This is all word of mouth so get the word out. I'm sure the Huskers will be playing that day and the shelters do have power so bring a radio and we'll have a tailgate picnic.
I believe Elden Heim will again be selling picnic T-shirts for this event. If you would like a shirt please e-mail Elden through this site.

We have no additional information other than the dates for our reunion at this time.
I believe the Nebraska State Fair will be going on at the same time as our reunion. From what I understand the fair does not impact hotel reservations all that much.
The "Decade of the 60's Picnic" will be August 30 which will add an additional day to our reunion. This will give you a opportunity to see class mates from other GISH 60's classes. If you have GI friends from other classes let them know about this event so you can spend time with them. This event is located at Hall County Park and will start at noon on Sunday, August 30th.
