I was trying to locate Gwyneth as she and I and went to Apple Grove Elementary, LBJ and Friendly. I used an on-line application, and I received the report on 6/22/2025 that she had died.

Sharon was an only child until the age of 12. She roller skated, she played the piano and she picked blackberries with me and my brother, Charles.
I used to go to her piano concerts. She once told me that she always knew there was someone in the audience who did not care whether or not she played the piece of music perfectly. All that mattered was she played that piece of music to the best of her ability.
Gwyneth married straight out of high school and became a nurse. She lived in Colorado.
I last saw Sharon at the Safeway in Fort Washington, MD. Both of her parents were deceased, and she was here to sell the house on Winnsboro Drive that they had lived in for decades.
Charles Carpenter died from a heart attack, and their mother, Lois (?) Carpenter remarried and moved away.
Her sister lived in the house until their mother died and Gwyneth and her sister decided to sell the house.
Sharon Qwyneth Carpenter was my first black friend and I can still see her roller skating down Billington Court and playing the piano!
