Robert (Bob) Deck

Class of 1977

Bob Deck has been a Boy Scout Leader in the Bridesburg Neighborhood for 17 years. He has been awarded some pretty prestigious awards both in and out of scouting for his community involvement. Bob has been awarded the Legion of Honor Award from the Chapel of 4 Chaplains and District Award of Merit from Delaware District Cradle of Liberty Council BSA, The Scoutmasters Award of Merit from the National Eagle Scout Association and the Silver Beaver Award from the Cradle of Liberty Council BSA and hold the highest honor from The Order of the Arrow, Scoutings Honor and Service Society, the Vigil Honor.

Bob was also honored by being selected as a scoutmaster to the 2001 National Scout Jamboree. He was also selected to be a scoutmaster for the 2005 National Jamboree but could not serve due to a health matter but still stayed active on the council jamboree committee. He was also honored by being selected as one of 20 local scout leaders to attend the National Order of the Arrow Conference in 2006 on behalf of the Local Order of the Arrow Lodge, Unami Lodge.

Bob has also served the Bridesburg Community by being a coach for several years for Baseball, Basketball and Soccer.
