1st duty assignment was with the Tactical Air Command in Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. I crewed an old T-33, moving up to crew for the base commander. Next, 3 tours in Southeast Asia. We moved around a lot, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Pahom (NKP), Ubon, Da Nang, Phu Cat, Pleiku, Phan Rang and Tan Son Nhut (Saigon). Then base of choice…. Base Ramey in Puerto Rico. I did 3 ½ wonderful years there. I was a flight engineer on a C-130-b with the 53’d Weather Squadron (Hurricane Hunters). We mapped weather patterns all over the globe. The base closed and we all went to Biloxi Mississippi, this ended my military career.
