FHS Centennial Celebration

Hey Gopher Alumni,

FHS is celebrating it's 100th year in educating some of America's finest people (1915-2015). Our Fall sports teams are having a centennial celebration on September 19th during the home football game. Please come out and join us in the festivities. We will have a tailgate BBQ in the main parking lot starting at 5pm. There will fun activities for all. Everyone is invited!

At half time of the game we are going to honor all past State Champions in football, volleyball, cross country, and cheer from the past 100 years. Please contact Shawn Cluff, Kelly Williams, or Casey Simon if you have any questions at 520-866-3560.

Commander Joseph Goldsmith succumbed to injuries incurred when he was involved in a motorcycle accident while escorting a race known as the "Law Enforcement Run for the Wall." He was escorting the runners between Tuba City to Window Rock, Arizona.

During the escort, he lost control of his motorcycle when it struck a gravel shoulder of Highway 264. He suffered severe injuries in the accident and died.

Commander Goldsmith was a US Air Force veteran. He had served with the Apache County Sheriff's Office for 5 years, and had previously served with the Arizona Department of Corrections for 5 years. He is survived by his wife, two children, parents, and two brothers.
