Peter F. Contreras was a Bushmaster TSgt, 158th Regimental Combat Team, in WW2. South Pacific Theater. He was awarded the Bronze Star, and Purple Heart for his services. Greatest man I have ever known. He was my father. He Graduated in 1935 from Florence Union High School, Salutatorian of his class with the Bausch and Lomb Math and Science award.
