Entered the Navy in August of 1974 and retired in August of 2004. Tours of duty spent aboard ships and at shore. Was a Command Master Chief and was awarded two Navy Commendation Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals as well as other campaign and service medals.

He is certified in regular and special education and teaches reading and language arts classes for students with and without various disabilities. He co-teaches English/Language Arts with Dana Mathis and Bill Harrell, and teaches three LANGUAGE! classes to enhance and improve the foundational reading skills of struggling readers.

I was a French linguist and worked on several non-combatant evacuations, including Hati in 1990. I also helped write a weapons training manual for Special Forces. I was part of Operation Enduring Freedom when my unit was called up in November 2001.
