We have never sold tickets online before. Please purchase by May 15 so the money can be used for the event. It takes 10 to 14 days for this to work.
You may drop your check off at any of the Mahaska County Bank Iowa Locations if you prefer.
Additionally, this year you will have a choice between Chicken or the usual Pork Chop. Add a note with your reservation for each ticket purchased If you would like Chicken instead of the Pork Chop.

A speaker has been contacted and has agreed to come and speak at the Banquet. He is the Author of a book entitled "Echoes in the Hallways". It's a History and Recollections of 102 Closed Iowa High Schools. Unfortunately he did not find anyone willing to talk about Cedar. There are chapters or comments from folks about Fremont and Hedrick schools.

Cedar Consolidated Schools closed in the 1960's and joined the Eddyville School district, but didn't get the name added as Blakesburg and Fremont have. Of course Cedar was formed from the Consolidation of many "ONE ROOM" schools, way before our time. (Most of us anyway). In recent years there have been 99 year old Alumni attending the banquet and for many years to be invited you had to "Graduate" from Cedar High School. The opening to any who attended happened just a few years ago for most. If you spent time in Cedar, please consider attending or at least sending a message.
Cedar Consolidated School joined the Eddyville School District in the 1960's and was built many years before with the consolidation of many "One Room Schools". Please join us in remembering Cedar.
The 122nd Eddyville-Blakesburg Alumni Banquet will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 6:00 PM at the Eddyville-Blakesburg High School cafeteria. Honored guest will be the classes of 1961 and 2011, additonally the class of 1946 plans to attend also. The theme will be: Remembering the Past, Building the Future. Attendees are encouraged to bring their class/graduation pictures, annuals to reminisce and share with all. Tickets are $17.00 in advance and $18.00 at the door. They will go on sale Monday April 18. Tickets will be available at the Eddyville branch of First Iowa State Bank, the Eddyville Market, and the High School office. Advanced tickets need to be purchased by Friday, May 20. The class of 1961 may also make their reservations through Chuck McDonough or high school office. The Alumni association looks forward to seeing all Eddyville-Blakesburg alumni on the 28th of May
