About Me	BS, MD, and internal medicine residency @ Univ. Iowa (3 years as Army captain before residency) --> practice 10 years in DSM --> fellowship and full time faculty U. Rochester --> Michigan State University in full time academics focused on doctor-patient relationship and provision of mental health in primary care. Continue working full-time w/ no plans to retire. UPDATE May 18, 2013: continue working on grants to train primary care doctors to recognize and treat mental health problems -- 3rd edition of text on medical interviewing and doctor-patient relationship published by McGraw-Hill 2012 UPDATE 5/21/18--working full time and now on 1-year sabbatical in Chicago but back to East Lansing in July. BTW--Michigan State is a great place, the Nassar jerk you hear about is an outlier! 4th ed of my interviewing book out in July and new textbook on primary care mental health out in early 2019--both by McGraw Hill.
