Richard, age 71, passed away at the Wamego Health Center in Wamego, Kansas. He was the son of Francis J. and Laurette M. (LeDuc) Meyer. He graduated from Concordia High School in 1965. He received an Associate of Arts degree from Cloud County Community Junior College in 1967 and his Bachelor of Science degree from Ft. Hays Kansas State College in 1969. He served in the US Army from 1969 to 1971. He married Janice DelForge in 1971. Survivors include his children, Kerry Whearty, Justin Meyer, and Brian Meyer, six grandchildren, and his siblings, Armellia Reiter, Phyllis McAllister, Kenny Meyer, and Bernard Meyer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lynwood Meyer. Funeral services were held at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Inurnment was in Meredith Township in Cloud County.
