Relda Ann Capps, 80, of Weaverville, NC passed away, December 21, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Henry Earl and Pearl Randall Capps. Relda attended Woodfin Elementary School and was a graduate of Erwin High School. She worked at American Enka, Fridedaire, in home health care and later in life worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart, where she met many friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anna; sisters, Patricia Mortier, Hazel Standrige and Mary Helton; brothers, Roy, Don and Ralph Capps.
Relda attended Leicester Baptist Church when her health permitted and was a very loving and kind person who never met a stranger. Her favorite past time was going on cruises.
Left to cherish Relda’s memory are her children, Paul Jeffrey treadway, Charles Erwin Treadway and Tracy Ann Treadway; grandchildren, Kristina, Virginia, Cody and Casey Treadway, Dylan Hightower (Aaleiah), Josh Treadway, Emily Leipold (Michael), and Megan Treadway; 9 great grandchildren and a sister, Nina Gillespie.
A Celebration of Relda’s life will be held 2:30pm Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Leicester Baptist Church.
At as later date her family is going to take a cruise where they will leave her cremains at Grand Turks and Caicos.
