Sydney Lee Paine passed away on December 24, 2022 at Memorial Mission Hospital. He was the son of the late George Frederick Paine and Ada Davall Williams Paine. He was born in Maidstone, England on February 27, 1947. He was predeceased by sister-in-law, Carolyn J. Rogers. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Jervis Paine, daughter, Jodi and Nelson Lunsford; son, Mark and Robin Paine; 3 grandchildren, Daniel and Kate Lunsford, Jennifer Lunsford and Spencer Hollifield, and Alex Paine. 4 great-grandchildren, Quinn and McKenna Lunsford, Maci Hollifield due in February. 2023, and Baby Lunsford due in early August, 2023. Also surviving are his brother John and Ann Williams of Rockville Maryland, brother-in-law Don Rogers, 2 nieces, 2 great- nieces and 2 great-great nieces and 1 great-great-nephew. Lee was a graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School, and Western Carolina University. He retired from Pisgah High School in Canton, North Carolina having taught Chemistry and Biology for 36 years all at the same school. Our family lost a wonderful husband, father, grandaddy, great-grandaddy, brother, and uncle who loved us and was loved in return. The family will be at the home
