Dennis W. Truman
Class of 1983
Army, 20+ Years
Sergeant First Class Dennis Truman has been serving in the Army since March 1983. He served in the WV National Guard for 3 years while attending WV State College. In 1986, he joined the Regular Army and has been serving ever since. His stateside assignments include Fort Belvoir, VA; Fort Benning, GA; Fort Knox, KY; Fort Lewis, WA; and Fort Leavenworth, KS. His overseas assignments include; Wiesbaden, Germany; Turkey; Iraq; Panama; Mannheim, Germany and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He has served as a Combat Engineer and a Military Policeman in both the Law Enforcement and Corrections fields over the past 25 years.

Served from 1988 to 2008. Enlisted into the Nuclear Power Operations and Engineering Field. Served on board various Aircraft Carriers and was selected for a tour on an Admiral's Staff. Deployed on multiple cruises including two 'Around the World' cruises, visiting over 20 foreign countries. Stationed inOrlando, Fl., Hartford, Ct., Hampton Roads and San Diego, Ca. Selected to and retired from the Chief Petty Officer Ranks.
