John W. Long, 33, of 90 Hillcrest Dr., Clarence, a civilian employee of the Quartermaster Corps in Germany, died April 8 in a veteran's hospital at Nuremburg, Germany, after a long illness. A veteran of World War II, he had remained in Europe after the war as a civilian worker. He had returned to Clarence on periodic visits.
Born in Clarence, Mr. Long was a graduate of the old Parker High School. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Hain Long, three brothers, Lester, Richard and Donald; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ahlers and Mrs. John Frye.
