Stan Mozer
Class of 1969
Marine Corps, 2 Years
I went into the Marine Corps four days after getting my diploma from summer school. It was a "rough row to hoe" as after Boot Camp and Advanced Training I went straight to Vietnam. I was with 1st Recon Bn. 1st Marine Div. 1970-1971. Since then I was able to work as a Fireman and later a Reserve Police Officer. Today I am 100% disabled due to exposure to the chemical, "Agent Orange" used in Vietnam. I still hold the special tassill I recieved from Principal, Mr. Spaulding which he sent to me while I was in Vietnam. The story about it was featured in the Paw Prints in June 1970, I think. It is a reminder to me of the importance of getting an early education and being able to use it to succeed.
