Served as Reactor Operator on board CGN-39, the USS Texas, one of 4 Virginia Class nuclear cruisers with 2 D2G 150MW reactors. Spent 114 days straight at sea, 94 of them in the Persian Gulf (around 1985 or so). Lot's of fun, but not enough to stick around for 20 years!
