Toni McAvoy Hume of Hagerstown and Marion Davis Ziegler III of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., announce their engagement.
Ms. Hume is a 1962 graduate of Bourne High School in Cape Cod, Mass.
She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1987.
She was employed as a registered nurse at Washington County Hospital until her recent resignation.
Mr. Ziegler is the son of Marion Davis Ziegler Jr. of Mount Pleasant, S.C.
He is a 1963 graduate of Bourne High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Excelsior College in 1989.
He is employed as a systems engineer with Lockheed Martin Corp. in Virginia.
An October 2 wedding is planned.
