Miss Grenda And Frederick Alden Married Sept. 21

White gladioli, carnations, and chrysanthemums decorated St. Patrick's Church in Wareham Saturday September 21 as Miss Helen Kathryn Grenda became the bride of Frederick Freeman Alden. The Rev. James Clark of that church officiated.

Given In marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white nylon lace and velvet with a fitted bodice and tapered sleeves. A lace skirt over satin had embroidered side panels of pearls and crystals. The bridal bouquet was of butterfly white roses. A fingertip lace veil fell from a satin embroidered cap.

Matron of honor was Miss Patricia Grenda of Wareham. sister of the bride. Alfred Riley of Norwich. Conn., brother-in-law of the groom, was best man.

Mrs. Alden is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Grenda of Highland Terrace. She is a graduate of Wareham High school.

Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Alden Sr. of Buzzards Bay. A graduate of Bourne High school class of 1951. he served two years with the U. S. Army, and is now associated with Suburban Propane Gas Company.

A reception was held following the ceremony at the Elks Home in East Wareham.
