Young TV Player Has Bourne Links
Alan Weeks, son of Mrs. Edna Hunt Weeks, who grew up in Bourne and was graduated from Bourne High School, had a sizable part on the TV show "The Tarnished Cross" on the Defenders last Saturday evening. Alan, who will be 14 years old this month, has recently been on the Ed Sullivan and Harry Bellafonte shows and was on "Another of the Defenders" programs early this year.
Alan's mother devoted much time to the development of what appears to be unusual ability in singing and dancing. He attends a private school for professional children in New York city. He is a tap dancer, does professional modeling and has sung with groups in the making of children's records. He had a part in the Broadway show "Body Beautiful" about three years ago and was in the road show of Jamaica.
When Alan was younger he spent several summers with his aunt, Mrs. Alberta Hunt Harding, and her family here at the Hunt homestead in Bourne.
