Miss Gibbons Is Bride of Richard Taglienti
Miss Dorothy Anne Gibbons, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John N. Gibbons of Buzzards Bay became the bride November 12 of Richard M. Taglienti of Newton Center at the St. Margaret's Church in Buzzards Bay. Mr. Taglienti is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Manfred Taglienti.
The Rev. Francis L. Mahoney performed the ceremony. Mrs. Harry Robbins played wedding music while Mrs. Eugene Sweeney was soloist.
The bride wore a gown of peau de sole with a fitted bodice, full bouffant skirt with an intermission length front and full chapel train. It had a scoop neckline outlined with alencon lace. The matching headpiece was a self made rose trimmed with tiny seed pearls which caught up the rolled edge veil. Her bouquet was a cascade of white carnations and ivy with white velvet ribbons.
The maid of honor, Miss Carol G. Gibbons, sister of the bride, wore an opera blue dress of peau de soie with a tulip bodice, scoop neckline and cap sleeves, the bell skirt repeating the tulip motif. The matching headdress had a circular face veil. Her flowers were a cascade of carnations of white and blue to match the gown.
Bridesmaids wore dresses of similar style and color. They were Miss Adrlenne Menoche of Taunton, Miss Rosalyn Taglienti, sister of the bridegroom from Newton Center, and Miss Carolyn Taglienti, cousin of the bridegroom, also from Newton Center. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Jean Orrall. daughter of the bride's godmother from Needham.
Best man was Joseph A. DiCarlo of Newton Center. Ushers were Anthony Mazzola and C. Bruce Murray, both of Newton Center, and Joseph Cancellierl Jr. of Auburndale.
Mrs. Gibbons, mother of the bride, wore a dress of cherry silk faille with a scoop neckline, shirred bodice and bell shaped skirt. She wore a matching hat and accessories and had a corsage of a pink cymbidium orchid.
Mother of the bridegroom, Mrs. Taglienti, wore a toast colored satin sheath with a sequin bodice and matching shoes and hat. She had a corsage of rust colored pompons.
Both of the bridegroom's grandmothers were present, Mrs. Elizabeth Nigro of Milford and Mrs. Rose DeBartplmeo of Newton Center.
The bride, who was born in West Roxbury, was graduated from Bourne High School in 1955 and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Beauty Culture in New Bedford. She has been employed at the Hyannis Beauty Shop.
Mr. Taglienti was graduated from Newton High School and was graduated from the Lee Institute of Real Estate. He ls now employed by Martin Cerel, realtor of Natick.
For the wedding trip by car to Florida, the bride wore a Loden green two piece dress with matching accessories and a white orchid corsage.
They will make their home in Framingham.
