Polumba Bulls Through Falmouth For TD
Dick Polumba, Bourne back, carried the ball over Lawrence High's goal Saturday for Bourne's lone tally following a sequence of plays that start after Bourne co-captain Bob Cushing partially blocked a Lawrence punt. After three running plays by Bourne backs, Polumba punched over.
Readily Identifiable are Bourne end Barry Harrington (43) and Bob Couto, Lawrence fullback, (23 ).
Coach Fred Comings said a new defensive pattern left the middle open in the fourth quarter permitting Couto to score the winning touchdown for Lawrence, but he added that his team will be ready for anyone in succeeding Saturdays.
