Miss Ryder Wed To Mr. Willey
A double? ?ring service at ?the ?Pocasset Baptist ?Church Saturday afternoon united Miss Susanne Ryder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward D. Ryder of Barlows Landing ?R?oad, Pocasset and Gerald L. Willey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Willey.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. Ferdinand F. Peterson.
Th?e? bride was given In marriage by her father. Her gow?n? was of embroidered organdy over white taffeta and was floor length. She carried a bouquet of white roses and wore a shoulder? ?length veil.
Betsy D?ean? Ryder, s?i?ster of the bride, as maid of honor, wore a ballerina? ?length? ?orchid silk organdy dress with a white lace cap. She carried yellow roses.
The bride's mother wore a powder? blue? lace dress with navy accessories and a corsage of pink tea roses. A D?io?r blue chiffon dress with pink accessories and pink tea rose corsage was worn by the mother of the bridegroom. ?The ?Best ?M?an was Gary H. Willey, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were William S. Wright Jr. of Pocasset and Lester Brander of Rehoboth.
After th?e? wedding, a reception for about 50 guests was held on the lawn of the bride's home.
The bride was graduated from Bourne high ?School in 1955 and from Becker Junior ?College ?i?n 1957.
She has been working as the? ?secretary to Newell B. Snow, engineer and surveyor, in Buzzards Bay.
The bridegroom was graduated from Brewer High school in Brewer. Maine. He is a veteran of the Korean war and at present works at the Ballentine Boat ?Y?ard in North Falmouth. The bride left with her husband for Washington, D. C, wearing a white Dacron dress printed with tiny pink and flowers. Their home will be in Pocasset after ?a ? two? week? honeymoon.
