Code Club Girls Feed Sponsoring Rotarians
Members of Bourne Rotary Club were guests at their weekly meeting last Monday of Code Club girls who prepared and served a delicious dinner featuring Italian dishes at the Pocasset Community building.
Miss Sue Lively, president of the club, introduced the other members present, the Misses Lola White, Pat Johnson, Pat Lively, Linda Montgomery, Suzie White, Cecilia Gallo, Judy Carlson, Margaret Tassinari, Tess Prete, Mary Minihan, Sandi McKenzie, Patty Cook and Beth Maxa and their advisor, Mrs. Arthur D. Kemp.
Andrew Mycock, Rotary president, in return, introduced to the girls the Rotary members and their guests of the evening, Col. Richard T. Lively of Otis, Frank Appleton of South Yarmouth, former Rotary district governor, and Michael Pazakis of Yarmouth, who organized the first Code Club in the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School four years ago. Mr. Pazakis presented new Code Club pins to the girls and predicted that there would be 50 such clubs organized for service work in their own communities before the end of this year.
Lawrence FitzGerald, secretary, announced that Howard S. Dawson of Monument Beach, past president of Bourne Rotary, has been appointed by Chester E. Claff of Randolph, Rotary district governor, as his representative for the Rotary clubs of Bourne, Falmouth, Harwich-Dennis and Hyannis.
