Alien F. Smiths Making Home At Mashnee Village
Miss Sandra McKenzie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon McKenzie of Old Bridge Road in Buzzards Bay became the bride of Allen Ford Smith during a wedding ceremony Wednesday evening, January 31 at the Bourne Methodist Church. The double ring service was performed by the Rev; Sherwood A. Treadwell.
Escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a beige afternoon dress with matching velvet bow in her hair holding a nose veil. She carried a hand styled arrangement in cascade of white carnations with purple iris.
Miss Judith McKenzie of Boston attended her sister as maid of honor. Best man for the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick C. of Gray Gables was his brother, Robert Smith of Buzzards Bay.
Reception for members of the two families was held after the service in the vestry of the church, A very beautifully decorated, white tiered wedding cake made by Mrs. David e centered the refreshment table where pastries and punch were served to the guests.
The bride was attired in a green plaid suit with camel hair and frosted green hat with a yellow sweetheart rose corsage pinned to her coat as the couple left.
They will make their home at Mashnee Village.
