Bourne Student Wins Wesleyan Scholarship
Robert S. Smith, Bourne High School senior and son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Smith of Buzzards Bay, has been named the Alexander Thomson Scholar by Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.
This award, one of the four highest at Wesleyan, entitles Robert to a scholarship which pays up to $1200 yearly and is renewable for four years if high scholarship is maintained, varying with the financial needs of the winner.
He was named for the award because of his interest and achievements in the field of social sciences.
Robert will enter Wesleyan this fall.
