Marilyn Weller, George Low Jr. Exchange Vows

Miss Marilyn Claire Weller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred G. Weller of West Yarmouth became the bride of George Low Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Low of Pocasset on June 16 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Barnstable. The Rev. Paul C. Martin of St. Mary's Church performed the ceremony in a setting of white flowers.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of imported French lac which had a modified Sabrina neckline and a train of chapel length. Her bouffant veil of pure silk illusion was caught to a crown of pearls and crystals. She carried a lace covered prayer book with an orchid corsage in the center and a cascade of ribbons and stephanotis. She carried the lace handkerchief which her mother had carried at her wedding 25 years before.

Maid of honor, Miss Nancy McElroy of West Yarmouth, was attired in a dress of' silk organza of daffodil yellow which had a scoop neckline, fitted bodice and ballerina skirt. Her head dress was a circlet of roses with a picture; brim of horsehair. She carried a colonial bouquet of yellow marguerites, miniature carnations arid roses.

Bridesmaids were Miss Beverly Lyons of Dennis Port and Miss Susan Bentley of Newton. They wore dresses similar to Miss McElroy's, except for color which was Nile green. Their bouquets were the same.

Best man was William W. Weller of West Yarmouth, brother of the bride.

Ushers were Robert W. Anderson of Hyannis, cousin of the bridegroom, and David P. Cahoon of West Yarmouth.

Mrs. Weller, mother of the bride, wore a fern green silk organza dress with white accessories. Mother of the bridegroom wore an aqua chiffon dress with a full skirt and matching accessories. Both mothers had corsages of white marguerites and baby's breath.

The receiving line was in the gardens of St. Mary's Church.

A wedding luncheon was served at the Priscilla Alden Room in Hyannis, where white flowers and silver candelabra were festive features.

Mr. Low, born in Hyannis, attended Bourne High School and the Rhode Island School of Design. At present he is employed by Gerald A. Mercer & Company, a civil engineering firm. He is a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.

The bride, born in East Orange, N.J., attended Dennis Yarmouth Regional High school and Wilfred Academy of Beauty Culture. She is employed in a beauty shop in Hyannis.

For her wedding trip to New Hampshire, she wore a beige and tangerine sheath with matching jacket and beige accessories.

The newly married couple are now at home in the Bass River Trailer Court in Bass River.

Entertainment before the wedding included a bridal shower given by the maid of honor and bridesmaids and a party the night of the wedding rehearsal given by parents of the bridegroom at the home of Mrs. William A. Muller in Pocasset.

Mrs.. Arthur Chandler also gave a personal shower for the bride at the Priscilla Alden Room on June 11.

On June 13, there was a miscellaneous shower with Mrs. A. John Strom Jr. and Mrs. Esther Strom as hostess at their home in West Yarmouth.
