Sonya Clouette Wed In Sagamore

Miss Sonya Clouette of Sagamore became the bride of Airman 2c George A. Cantrell of Otis Air Force Base at 3 P.M. in the Swift Memorial Church, Sagamore. The bride was given in marriage by William Gibbs. She has been living with Mr. and Mr. Gibbs since her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clouette, died several years ago.

Reverend Vernal Phillips, pastor of the Swift Memorial Church conducted the ceremony in a church decorated with Easter lilies. A reception attended by about 60 friends followed the ceremony in the church parlor.

The bride wore an afternoon dress of light blue crystalline, princess style with bolero jacket, high neck and three-quarter sleeves. Dress was trimmed with medallions of lace embroidered, in pearl. She wore a small hat made out of pink velvet leaves, and carried a white bible with orchids.

Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Miss Florine Clouette. She wore a cotton Dacron dress with full gathered skirt, scooped neckline and three-quarter sleeves, white gloves, and carried a small bouquet of roses and a hat similar to her sister's.

Charles Grayson was best man. Mrs. Louis E. Boyden played traditional music.

The bride is a 1955 graduate of Bourne High School and works at the Buzzards Bay National Bank. The bridegroom, whose family works in Manhattan Beach, Cal., works in radio at Otis.

The church parlor was decorated for the reception with snap dragons, carnations and tall white tapers.

The couple went to Tennessee, where Mr. Cantrell has relatives, for their wedding trip. They are now living at Old Plymouth Road, Sagamore.
