Miss Mary Bernice Dodd, daughter of Warrant Officer and Mrs. Gordon B. Dodd of Monument Beach became the bride of Robert Ross Dean, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward K. Dean of Pocasset in a double ring ceremony Sunday at the Bourne Methodist Church.
The service was performed by the Rev. Elmer L. Kimmell.
The bride wore a wedding gown of white taffeta brocade with a long train. Her net veil had a tiara of white beads and sequins and she carried a bouquet of white roses.
Warrant Officer Dodd gave his daughter in marriage and the duties of best man were performed by Frank Harrison of Bourne.
Mrs. Edward Savery of Cotuit, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, attired in pale green taffeta.
The bridesmaids, Mrs. Taber B. Perry of Pocasset, sister of the groom and Miss Ethel Burns of Buzzards Bay wore lavender taffeta gowns and carried old fashioned bouquets as did the matron of honor.

About 100 persons attended the reception held in the Bourne Memorial Community Building where a wedding cake was cut by the bridal couple and refreshments were served.
The bride, a graduate of Bourne High School in 1947, has been employed in a sewing shop in Hyannis.
Mr. Dean, a 1944 graduate of Bourne High School served in the Navy two years and has recently graduated from the New England Aircraft School.
