Joyce Wallace Bride in Maine
The Lorimer Chapel at Colby College in Waterville, Maine was the setting for the wedding May 30 of Miss Joyce Geraldine Wallace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford R. Wallace of Monument Beach to Vivian M. Bryant Jr. of Rochester, N. Y.
The chapel was decorated with candelabra and baskets of white gladioli for the service, performed by the Rev. Clifford Osborne, Colby College chaplain.
A reception for 200 guests followed the ceremony in the lounge of the Women's Union at Colby, banked with spring flowers.
The bridal cake had satin ribbon simulating the steps to the college chapel, with miniature bride and bridegroom and bridesmaids.
The bride's gown was of imported chantilly lace over white satin with seed pearls edging the scalloped neckline of .her basque bodine and fingertip illusion veil with tiara of pearls and rhinestones.
She carried white rainbow bible and corsage with lily of the valley streamers.
Miss Esther Wallace, her sister, was maid of honor, wearing copen blue nylon tulle over satin with a floor length skirt and a wreath of pastel flowers in her hair matching her old-fashioned bouquet.
Wearing soft blue gowns the bridesmaids were sisters of the bridegroom, the Misses Lydia and LaFern Bryant of East Wilton, Maine.
Maurice Bryant of Independence, Mo, was best man for his brother.
Ushers were George Bryant and Clifford Wallace Jr.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Bryant are graduates of Colby.
A graduate of Bourne High School, Mrs. Bryant had been medical technician at Cape Cod Hospital and Barnstable County Hospital.
For their wedding trip to Canada the bride chose a pink suit, flowered hat and lily of the valley accessories.
They are now at home at Rochester, N. Y., where Mr. Bryant is chemist for the Naval Ordnance Division of the Eastman Kodak Company.
