Phil Cury High Man for BHS in Weston Game

Bourne Defeats Weston; Advances In Tech Tourney
Bourne High School faces Marshfield this afternoon at Natick in the quarter finals of the Tech Tourney after piling up 70-44 over Weston Tuesday in first round play.
The Canalers Cape regular season champions will be meeting the South Shore League winners. The game is at 4:30 P.M.
Except in the first quarter, coach Lou Bachand's men had things all their way against Weston. They trailed after the first period, 18-11 but led by half time hit from outside.
That two point half time lead grew fast. The Bourne team netted 19 points in the third Quarter to ten for Weston; then stretched their lead with 24 last quarter points to nine.
Phil Curry was high man for Bourne with seven successful foul shots in his 17 point total.
Charlie Weston dropped in seven two pointers and a total of 15
Wayne Upton and Phil Curry each had 13 and Ed Savage, at center for Bourne, ran up eight points and took a good share of the rebounds.
With three minutes to go Coach Bachand had Pipkins, Pasquale and Cunningham in, spelling his regulars,
