Dempsey Lott III Scout to go to Vermont

Vermont Weekend is in The Offing For Boy Scouts
A Junior Leader Training Program in preparation for a weekend in Vermont is now in progress for ten Boy Scouts from Troop 45.
Tech. Sgt. William W. Johnston, scoutmaster, is conducting a course in patrol leadership and patrol hiking and camping trips. At the end of July the boys will go to Brattleboro, Vermont for a weekend camping trip at a wooded site owned by Harold E. Baxter, father-in-law of Sgt. Johnston.
In August, Sgt. Johnston will conduct an lntra troop contest with the winning patrol rewarded with a similar trip to the Vermont woods.
Glen Kapple, Dempsey Lott III, Fred Cole, Edward Kroboth, Rusty VerNooy, Tex Ridlehuber, Jim Peterson and Jim Kornegay are the scouts who will go on the July trip. The other two boys will be on leave with their parents. Troop 45 will continue to meet through the summer.
