With The Graduates

Class of 1962

Falmouth Enterprise, Tuesday, October 16, 1962, Page 9

With The Graduates

A quiet and warm campus life is what Toni Calland wanted, and so she chose Florida State University. It's quite a ways from Buzzards Bay. but southern hospitality will heal that wound.

Messrs. Dempsey Lottin, Peter Perpall. and George Lutz are all taking up temporary residence at Southern Georgia Junior College. Peter and George are roommates and will be a big help to one another.

We have two reportedly potential brides among our graduates. They are Elizabeth Tomlinson of Sagamore and Barbara Bassett of Buzzards Bay. Barbara wants to wait until next June for her nuptials, while Miss Tomlinson began her joint lift October 6. We're sure that only the best will come to both.

Miss Toni McAvoy has arrived at Fenn College and will enjoy college life were sure, especially since her old friend, Carol Lunsford is also at Fenn college. Together they should be shining examples of the fruits ot Bourne High School's faculty.

John Casanova, who joined the Navy on June 23, came home during September and recently visited Mr. John Gray, guidance counselor at Bourne High School. John is engaged to Miss Beth Maxa of Cataumet, but does not know when the nuptials will take place.

Frances Lanza is employed at the Telephone Exchange in Cataumet and is making plans to enter Boston University in February. Miss Lanza plans to take up a basic studies course.

Linda Robert and Janice Barney have both married since the close of school last year. We wish them both the best of luck and much happiness.

Our guidance counselor received a letter from Judy ConIon of Otis Air Force base, presently at Marietta College. Miss Conlon wrote. "I can write nothing but good about Marietta College." Evidently she is very pleased with her new found home. Judy received a scholarship through nothing other than hard work.

Robert Murphy, Harry Graham, and Paul Baillie are all at Wentworth Institute in Boston this year. Harry Graham visited the Cape again on September 22 and returned to Wentworth to begin classes that Monday.

Toni McAvoy is attending Fenn College this year. However, she is not lonely, since a friend of hers, Carole Lunsford, is also a student there. Both are graduates of Bourne High.

Katherine Ingalls took it upon herself to wander far from Cape Cod. However, being a young miss from Otis, she is accustomed to traveling. She is presently attending the University of Tampa.

The class of '62's candidate to Washington Bible College is Mark Milliken. It looks as if Mark is practicing what his father preaches.

Bourne's sweetheart. Mary Minihan, is now attending Bridgewater State College. With Mary's personality she will go far.

The Misses Tess Prete and Joyce Reynolds are both commuting everyday to Cape Cod Community College. They are most fortunate to be so close to their homes.

Janet Shay of Gray Gables has been coming home almost every weekend. Her parents report that Janet likes Framingham State College and enjoys Bourne's football games.
