Miss Souza Bride Of Gordon Gibbs In Hyannis Church
Wedding of Miss Sally Ann Souza of Old Falmouth Road, Osterville to Gordon Cushman Gibbs of County Road, Pocasset, took place Sunday. March 27, at the Hyannls Federated Church The Rev. Carl Fearing Schultz performed the ceremony.
A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Souza, for 100 guests. The couple then left on a wedding trip to Niagara Falls.
The bridegroom, a 1953 graduate of Bourne High School, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gibbs of Pocasset.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over satin, with a crown of pearls holding her fingertip veil, and carrying a cascade bouquet of white roses.
Mrs. Stanley Gibbs of Pocasset was matron of honor in blue silk brocade with pink floral print, a pink net headband, and pink and white roses forming her cascade bouquet.
The bridesmaids, Miss Donna Robert of West Yarmouth and Miss Linda Glbbs of Pocasset, wore blue silk chiffon over taffeta with headbands of blue flowers and net and carried pink and white roses.
Stanley Gibbs of Pocasset was best man for his brother.
Francis Souza and Robert Ranta, brother and nephew of the bride, both of Osterville Plains, were ushers.
The bride's mother chose a pink floral print of silk chiffon over taffeta and a corsage of pink roses.
The mother of the bridegroom wore a blue silk sheath with corsage of white roses.
