Theodore "Ted Lindberg Inducted by Honor Society

Five Seniors Inducted By Honor Society Chapter
Five students, all seniors, were inducted into the James F. Peebles Chapter of the National Honor Society at Bourne High School Thursday morning.
Welcome was given by Susan Lively, Chapter President; the charge by Col. Ernest J. White. Lola White, Chapter Guide, called the new members.
Instruction to the new members was given by Duane Reynolds, Scholarship; Kay Perry, Character: Kenneth Nelson, Leadership, and Edwin Moxon, Service.
Principal Walter J. Stahura presented the pins to the new members.
They are: Mrs. Marcia Darden from West Virginia, a senior at Bourne High school, is married and her husband Is stationed at Otis. They reside at Mashnee Village. New to the school this fall Marcia, besides being an honor student, is working on the yearbook staff and in a chorus.
Member Larrle Knudsen, son of Sgt. and Mrs. Jack H. Knudsen of Otis is also new to the school this fall, having come from Japan. He is also working on the yearbook staff and Is a member of the chorus.
Theodore Lindberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore P. Lindberg of Burtonwood in Monument Beach, has lust received word that he has been accepted at Northeastern University in the Liberal Arts College, where he will major In mathematics. He worked during the summer at the First National Store in Buzzards Bay and is working in his spare time now for James Tyson, surveying. He has been a member of the high school golf team for his first three years of high school, was a member of the Air Explorer Squadron at Otis, of which he was treasurer; and during the junior year was Sports Correspondent, Secretary of the Athletic association and worked on the yearbook.
Ethel Bolles, known as Judy, the daughter of Mrs. E. Stanley Bolles of Burtonwood, Monument Beach, cousin of Theodore Lindberg, played clarinet for four years In the Shawme Band. She has been very active in the Bourne Girl Scout Troop and in the Bourne Methodist Church. She Is a member of the Code Club and Chorus at school where she Is taking the commercial course. She hopes to work with the FBI In Washington after her graduation from school.
