John Edgar Wright and Bride to Live in East Hartford
The future home for Mr. and Mrs. John Edgar Wright will be in East Hartford, CT where he will be employed as a jet mechanic by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Corporation.
The couple were married Sunday afternoon at the East Eddington Community Church, ME.
Mrs. Wright is the daughter of Ferdo A. Morrill of Portland and Mrs. Ferdo A. Morrill of Brewer, ME.
Mr. Wright is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Wright of 150 Barlows Landing Road.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a street length white nylon dress and a short, white lace jacket with three-quarter length sleeves. White netting was attached to her matching hat. She carried a bouquet of pink sweetheart roses and white poms.
Matron of honor was Miss Frances A. Manzo of East Eddington, who wore a straight street length mint green dress with short sleeves and round neck. Green netting was attached to her mint green headband, and she carried a bouquet of yellow carnations and white poms.
Best man for his brother was William S. Wright Jr. of Pocasset. Ushers were Leland Ekum and Noble Kitchum of Dow Air Force Base, ME.
For her daughter's wedding. Mrs. Morrill wore an aqua shirt waisted dress, blue-net hat and white gloves and shoes. Mrs. Wright chose a blue dress with navy accessories.
The East Eddington Grange Hall was adorned by two baskets of mixed glads and streamers for the reception, attended by 35 guests.
Mr. Wright was born in Pocasset and attended Bourne High School prior to entering the Air Force. He was released from duty at Dow Air Force base, ME on August 5.
The bride was born in Brewer, ME and was graduated from Brewer High School in June. She is a Nurse's Aide at the Eastern Maine General Hospital in Bangor.
For her wedding trip the new Mrs. Wright chose a white dress with pink and green embroidery and white shoes and gloves. They will make their home in East Hartford. CT.
Attending the wedding were William Wright Jr.'s daughters, Carol and Marcia, Mrs. Peter Nielsen of North Falmouth and her daughter, Susan; Mrs. Nils Carlson of North Falmouth and her son, Peter; Mr. and Mrs. F. Stewart Wright of West Medford, and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Brander of Rehoboth and their daughter, Karen.
