Alumni Organize Scholarship Drive
The Executive Board of the Bourne Alumni Association this week organized its effort to raise funds for a scholarship fund for BHS graduates.
The campaign will be in the form of letters sent out to as many of the 1,500 living Bourne High School Alumni as can be reached. The letters are being sent out soon with request for prompt returns so that the committee may work with the community scholarship committee.
For a personal touch to the appeal representatives of Bourne High School classes for the past three quarters of a century are sending the letters to members of their classes.
Officers of the association are John B. Jenkins, president; C. Paul Tucy, vice president; Donald H. Long, secretary; Beatrice Williams, treasurer; Arlene Perry, publicity; Jane DeGagne, program, and Vesta Braley, membership.
