Bourne Youngsters Win Contests
Barnstable County 4-H teams made a clean sweep of the Poultry Judging Contest at the Eastern States Exposition in Springfield on Saturday.
The senior team won for. the second time.
The senior team was composed of Judy Elvander, East Sandwich, Joan Ojala and Karl Osward, Buzzards Bay and John Phaneuf of Monument Beach.
This team won the senior contest with 1874 points, 8 counties competing. Judy Elvander was high individual scorer of all counties with 648 points, Joan Ojala was the fifth high individual with 616 points, Karl Osward was sixth with 610 points.
