Kathy Robbins Confirmed at St. Peter's
Class of 1962
31 Confirmed at St. Peter's
The Rt. Rev. Dr. Theodore R. Ludlow, retired Suffragan Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey, officiated at confirmation rites for a class of 31 at St. Peter's-on-,the-Canal, Buzzards Bay. Friends and relatives filled the church to capacity. The class was presented by the Rev. William E. Littlewood, Rector, the largest class ever confirmed there.
Bishop Ludlow, in his sermon, referred to the fact that he spent early days of his ministry at the church in Allston before it was put aboard a barge, brought down and floated through the canal to its present location. He was married at the same altar.
Dr. Littlewood presented to those confirmed certificates of confirmation and prayer books.
The choir, under the direction of Organist Linwood Greeley, sang Handel's Alleluia Chorus. Reception for new members was in the parish hall. Tea was served by members of the Women's Guild, with Mrs. Guy LeBland.
