School Musicians Perform on Friday
Vocal group from Bourne Grammar school appearing in the "Maytime in Old New York" part of the concert includes Carolyn Sanborn, Diane Patenaude, Roberta Burch, Lynn Gilbert, John Cristofori, Peter McComiskey, Warren Turner and Peter Lauzier.
"How Times Have Changed" is one of their nostalgic numbers.
School musicians, from first and second graders to the Shawme Band Orchestra and high school chorus will put their talent on display Friday night in the "Music in Maytime" concert at the Bourne High School auditorium.
Sponsored by Bourne Parent Teacher Association, the concert is a benefit for the band uniform fund.
The school musicians are directed by Carlton R. Thorne, Supervisor of Music, and Mrs. Loretta Silya, Assistant Music Supervisor.
The Shawme Orchestra opens the program with three numbers under the baton of Mr. Thorne.
