Cross Country Team Trails Martha's Vineyard Runners
Bourne lost to Martha's Vineyard Regional 36 to 23 in its first cross country meet of the year, held at Bourne High School Wednesday.
Those who scored for Bourne were Dan Jarvis, Harvey Mussleman, Don Johnson, Robert Morris, and Chris Nardine.
Members of the Bourne team, coached by Mr. Knute Andersson, were Dan Jarvls, Bob Morris, Bob Newell, Harvey Mussleman, Chris Nardine, Don Johnson, John Rose, Bill Tripp, Stewart Pippin, Lloyd Gillus, Bob Parady, and Ron Petros.
On the Martha's Vineyard Regional team, coached by Fran Pacheco, were Ray Smalley, who placed first in the meet, Ray Fauteux, Kent Metell, Don Luce, Wayne West, Bob Amaral, Dave Gordon, Julio Araujo, Bob Natusch, Ronald Francis and Joe Sutton.
Field Judges were Mr. Sumner Allen and Mr. Fred Comings. Mr. Andrew Laughton acted as starter and Mr. William Lavin officiated as time recorder. They are all members of the Bourne High School faculty.
