Wright Learns From Man's Best Friend
Man's best friend gave Bourne Shellfish Warden Bertram S. Wright a painful lesson in faithfulness Sunday evening at the Mashnee Dyke where Patrolman Wright was checking shellfish permits along the crowded dyke.
Dog watched calmly as Patrolman Wright checked his master's permit, everything was in order, then trailed the warden back to his car.
Just as Warden Wright got in, faithful Fido, who has a reputation in Sagamore for the same type of faithfulness, took a pass at the lawmaker's leg.
Yesterday morning, as Warden Wright headed for the doctor's with a bruised leg, he spoke highly of heavy trousers.
