Bertram Wright Files Suit For $10,000 Damages

Bourne Patrolman Bertram S. Wright, through his attorney F. J. Smith, has filed a $10,000 tort suit against the New Haven Railroad alleging the railroad acted negligently at the time of an accident February 12, 1957, when Mr. Wright nearly lost his life.

The suit states Mr. Wright was crossing the New Haven tracks at Evergreen Hill Road intersection on Phinney's Point in Monument Beach when the car he was operating was struck by a New Haven Railroad train.

The plaintiff seeks a jury trial in the suit filed Monday.
