Miss Stoddard, Airman Lewis Wed Saturday

Miss Blanche Elaine Stoddard, daughter of Mrs. Arthur B. Stoddard of Buzzards Bay and the late Mr. Stoddard, and Airman 1st class Jerry Bradford Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lewis of Hefflin, Ala., were married Saturday, June 1, in Bourne Methodist church by the Rev. Orville E. Crain. The church was decorated with baskets of white gladioli and potted palms on the altar and bridal wreath. Wedding music was played by Mrs. Robert F. Kammler.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother Raymond Stoddard, now of Washington, D.C.; wore a Ballerina-length gown of nylon rose point lace over white satin. She wore a bolero jacket over a fitted, strapless bodice. The jacket had long, tapered sleeves that came to a point over the hand. A shoulder-length illusion veil was held in place by a tiara embossed with pearls. She wore white pumps and carried a white Bible and a cascade bouquet of white roses and carnations.

Matron of honor WAS Mrs. James O'Neil of County road in Monument Beach. She wore a Ballerina-length gown of sheer pale pink cotton with a very bouffant skirt. The gown had a square neckline, five bows of the same material down the back of the bodice, and short sleeves. Mrs. O'Neil also wore white gloves and shoes and a small hat of pink lace with nose veil. She carried an arm cascade of yellow roses.

Mother of the bride wore a medium blue lace bodice and Ballerina-length skirt, a white, brimmed lace hat, short gloves and a pink rose corsage. Maternal grandmother, Mrs. John Lane of Boston, wore a yellow rose corsage.

A total of 150 persons attended the reception in the church vestry. Out of town guests were from Boston and Lynn.

Following the reception, the bride wore a soft gray flannel suit, a small white hat embroidered with beads, white gloves, a corsage from her bouquet, black shoes and purse for the wedding trip to Alabama.

The bridegroom is making the Air Force his career.

The bride was born in Boston and attended Sandwich and Bourne High schools. The couple plan to live in Falmouth.
